About the Speaker: Dr. Lorinda Kwan-Chen, a clinical researcher, speech therapist, and university lecturer at EdUHK, specialises in language-led dementia, particularly Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA).
She leads research and clinical work on PPA in Hong Kong, collaborating with the University of California San Francisco and receiving international funding.
Dr. Kwan-Chen works closely with a multidisciplinary team of experts, including neurologists, psychiatrists, geriatricians, radiologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, neuropsychologists, and neuroscientists. Her research and clinical insights have been published in leading scientific journals, advancing the understanding and treatment of PPA in Chinese populations.
