Place: Hotel Panorama, 8A Hart Avenue, TST, Kowloon (Exit N1, TST MTR Station)
Speaker: Mr. Dan MAINI
About the Speaker :
Mr. Dan MAINI, of Indian descent, was born and grew up in Kenya (next door to Ethiopia!); studied and worked in the UK; and moved to Hong Kong some eight years ago. He has previously worked for PriceWaterhouse, Lonrho, Jardines, Flextronics and Carlsberg. He is currently the Head of Internal Audit for Nord Anglia Education, the world's premier education company, with a portfolio of 56 international schools across the globe.
About the Talk :
Ethiopia is often associated with famine and civil war. This presentation aims to correct that view; and provide an overview of the immensely rich history and culture of this once fabled kingdom....from the mythical Queen of Sheba; to origins of the beverage coffee; to influences in the 20th Century...from jazz to the Rastafarian cult.
